US AFRICOM Commander Meets with Moroccan Defense Minister to Strengthen Military Ties

The two personalities had a meeting that allowed them to evaluate several aspects of the cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America, particularly in the field of national defense, indicates the press release of the National Defense Administration.
To this end, Abdeltif Loudyi, Delegate Minister for National Defense Administration, and Stephen J. Townsend, Army General and Commander of AFRICOM, expressed their satisfaction with the dynamism that characterizes the privileged relations and the spirit of shared friendship and trust between the two countries.
On the same occasion, Abdeltif Loudyi and Stephen J. Townsend assessed the security situation in the region and appreciated the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, as an important actor in the consolidation of peace and stability in the region, according to the same press release.
