Abdellatif Ouahbi Elected as New Leader of Morocco’s PAM Party Amid Internal Crisis

Abdellatif Ouahbi was elected to the head of the Party of Authenticity and Modernity (PAM), replacing Hakim Benchamach. He is now the new Secretary General of the Party.
The PAM has turned a new page in its history. The new Secretary General was unanimously elected on February 8, 2020, after the final withdrawal of the two potential candidates for the leadership of the Party of Authenticity and Modernity (PAM), Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah and Samir Belfqih, during the 4th congress of the political party.
Abdellatif Ouahbi was elected on Saturday, February 8, to replace Hakim Benchamach, against the backdrop of a crisis that reached its peak on Saturday, at the opening of the congress in El Jadida.
At the end of this election, the supporters of the outgoing Secretary General almost came to blows and disrupted the speech of the now leader.
