Ziyech’s Move to Al-Nassr Collapses Over Salary Dispute, Not Injury Concerns

Moroccan international, Hakim Ziyech, was expected to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the ranks of Al-Nassr, a club in the Saudi Pro League. However, this much-anticipated transfer did not ultimately materialize. Why?
While knee problems were initially cited as the cause of the failure, sources close to the athlete told GOAL that the player’s medical examination was not the main reason.
The reality is quite different. Al-Nassr reportedly tried to renegotiate the striker’s salary downwards, which would have created a major disagreement with Ziyech. As a result, the latter is said to have decided not to pursue negotiations with the Saudi club. He even hinted at his discontent via an Instagram story last Tuesday, with an ironic caption: "Knee problems, is that it?".
