Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech Faces Career Setback After Second Failed Transfer

The career of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech has been put to the test following two failed transfers due to medical issues.
The second failure, the most recent one, is the one that should have sent him to Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr, a transfer that ultimately failed due to a knee problem during the medical examination. The Saudi club tried to renegotiate the contract downwards, but the negotiations did not succeed.
This incident comes a few months after a similar situation with Paris Saint-Germain. Ziyech was about to fly to the French capital on the last day of the January transfer window. A medical examination had revealed the same knee problem, causing the transfer to collapse at the last minute.
Faced with this situation, Alan Hutton, former Aston Villa defender, expressed his concern for the Chelsea player to Football Insider. He said the Moroccan must resolve these health issues that are hampering his career. "Ziyech must be devastated," he said. "If the knee problem reappears, it’s devastating. We must first check if this problem can be solved, and above all, try to solve it."
For the former defender, these medical problems impact Ziyech’s position in contract negotiations. "You are not in a strong position to sign a new very lucrative contract if there is an injury," he concluded.
