Ziyech’s European Comeback: Marseille and Atlético Madrid Battle for Moroccan Maestro

Without a club, Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is attracting interest in Europe. French and Spanish clubs are showing interest in the former Ajax star.
Will Hakim Ziyech revive his career in Europe? Olympique de Marseille (OM) is closely following Hakim Ziyech’s situation and sees him as an ideal profile to strengthen their attacking midfield. His proximity to Mehdi Benatia, OM’s sporting director and former captain of the Atlas Lions, could facilitate his potential recruitment.
In search of a replacement for Ángel Correa, who is on his way out, Atlético Madrid is interested in Ziyech. His significant European experience and his ability to unlock matches with his passes are appealing to the Colchoneros. The 32-year-old striker perfectly fits the profile sought by Diego Simeone.
Currently, Ziyech is without a club. He amicably terminated his contract with Al Duhail, after only four months of collaboration. He arrived in Qatar last January, after a period of "two or three months" of inactivity at Galatasaray in Turkey. He scored one goal and provided one assist in 13 appearances, across all competitions.
