• Morocco Sets Zakat Al-Fitr at 23 Dirhams for Ramadan 2025

  The Supreme Council of Ulema has set the amount of Zakat Al-Fitr for the year 1446 of the Hegira (2025) at 23 dirhams per person. This amount represents an increase compared to the 20 dirhams of previous years.
  Zakat Al-Fitr is a mandatory alms given at the end of the month of Ramadan. The Council recalls that it was instituted by the Prophet Muhammad to purify the fasters and help the less fortunate.
