You have to get that dog": The message that weighs down the Taghi network in Morocco
The investigation into the murder of Dutch journalist Peter R. de Vries is progressing with the arrest in Morocco of Ismail M. This arrest strengthens the hypothesis of a direct involvement of Ridouan Taghi’s criminal organization in this commissioned murder.
The Dutch authorities have shared decisive information that led to the arrest of this 34-year-old man last fall. According to the media NOS, the individual would play a prominent role within the mafia network and would have participated in the supervision of this assassination that occurred four and a half years ago.

The investigators found overwhelming evidence linking the suspect to Krystian M., the Polish organizer of the attack. An encrypted phone contained a photograph of the victim on the RTL Boulevard television set, accompanied by the explicit instruction: "You have to get that dog".
The Moroccan investigation is also targeting Jaouad F., a cousin of Ridouan Taghi imprisoned in the Kingdom. A true pillar of the organization, this 32-year-old man would have directed the operation from abroad, in the same way that he would have orchestrated the elimination of lawyer Derk Wiersum.

These advances come as the identity of the ultimate sponsors remains formally unknown. In December, the court of appeal heavily sanctioned the direct perpetrators of the Amsterdam shooting, sentencing the shooter and his driver to 27.5 years in prison, and the organizer to over 26 years.
