16-Year-Old Lamine Yamal Breaks Euro 2024 Records with Stunning Goal Against France

Lamine Yamal, the young winger of FC Barcelona, is making his mark on Euro 2024. At just 16 years old, the player of Moroccan origin has become the youngest player and scorer in the history of the competition.
His spectacular goal against France, at 16 years and 11 months, overshadowed the precocity record of Johan Vonlanthen, which dated back to 2004. An even more remarkable performance as it was achieved in a knockout match, a stage of the competition where only the greatest shine.
Yamal does not intend to stop there. He now has in his sights the records of Jude Bellingham, the youngest player to play in a knockout match, and Renato Sanches, the youngest finalist. If he were to score in the final, he could even surpass Italian Pietro Anastasi, the youngest goalscorer in a final.
The young Spanish prodigy, who will celebrate his 17th birthday this Saturday, is having an exceptional Euro. His precocity and talent make him one of the most promising players of his generation.
Thanks to the goal of the young player, Spain was able to quickly equalize before taking the lead and qualifying for the final.
