19-Year-Old Elected as Morocco’s Youngest Mayor in Taroudant Province

The president of the commune of Sidi Borja is only 19 years old and is the youngest elected official following the electoral deadlines of September 8, 2021. The young woman is officially at the head of the commune located in the province of Taroudant, announced the branch of the Union of Socialist Forces (USFP) party in Taroudant on Sunday.
Born in 2002, Nora Thoussa was elected on the list of the Union of Socialist Forces (USFP) party in Taroudant. She is in her first year at Ibn Zohr University in Agadir.
According to a party member contacted by SNRTnews, Nora does not wish to give her impressions in the media for the time being, due to "the sensitivity of the current stage", which is characterized by consultations for the formation of the next council.
