Wydad: The "Hakim Ziyech Case" Resolved
Wydad Casablanca coach Patrice Carteron firmly denied rumors of tensions with Hakim Ziyech. The player’s late entry against KACM Marrakech is solely explained by a lack of physical fitness, according to the French manager.
Numerous reports had suggested a deteriorated relationship between the coach and the Moroccan international following last Saturday’s match against KACM Marrakech for the sixteenth day of the Botola. The star striker played only the final minutes of the match, with the coach choosing not to bring him on during an earlier round of substitutions. To silence this emerging controversy, Patrice Carteron publicly spoke out, citing the physical condition of the Lion of the Atlas, who had just returned from a period without collective training. "Hakim Ziyech trained only twice before the match against Kawkab Marrakech. Starting him would have been a risk," the manager said to justify his decision.

Now, the situation appears to have calmed as the next confrontation approaches. The Wydad coach is very optimistic about his player’s availability, declared fully fit again physically. He confirmed that the striker was fully reintegrating the squad for the rest of the competition. "Ziyech is ready and will be with the group in the next match, with the objective of securing victory," Patrice Carteron assured, hoping to definitively restore serenity within the club before this new league clash.
