World Cup Star Sofyan Amrabat Draws Comparison to Italian Legend Gattuso

Morocco’s World Cup run has increased the popularity of many Moroccan players. This is the case of Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat whose style of play in Qatar has pleased Italian technician Fabio Capello.
"With his perseverance, his determination, his concentration on ball recovery and his choice of the right position, he reminds me a lot of Gennaro Gattuso. But then with more technical qualities," said the former Italian national coach to Il Corriere della Sera.
At 26 years old, Sofyan Amrabat is currently on the radar of several European clubs like Tottenham, Liverpool, Atlético Madrid. But Fiorentina has no intention of parting with its player and is even thinking of securing his contract which ends in 2025. However, La Viola could sell him to any club capable of paying 40 million euros.
If he has to leave this winter during the transfer window, the Moroccan player has a preference for Liverpool who, according to Foot Mercato, is already very advanced in the negotiations with the player and his entourage.
