World Cup Qualifiers: Sudan to Face Guinea in Morocco Amid Stadium Restrictions

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has requested Morocco to host several matches counting towards the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. This is the case of Sudan’s match against Guinea which will be held in Marrakech, as none of the Sudanese stadiums have been authorized to host official matches.

Sudan faces Guinea on October 6 in Marrakech. The Nile Crocodiles have a lot to do as their last two matches have been a fiasco (2-0) for the match against Morocco and (2-4) for the one against Guinea-Bissau.

In addition to Sudan, several countries will hold their matches in Moroccan stadiums, as part of the 3rd and 4th rounds of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. These matches will be held in Tangier, Marrakech, Agadir, Rabat and Casablanca, according to the following program:

• October 6, 2021: Morocco-Guinea Bissau at 8 p.m. at the Moulay Abdallah Complex in Rabat
• October 6, 2021: Sudan-Guinea at 8 p.m. at the Grand Stadium in Marrakech
• October 7, 2021: Mali-Kenya at 8 p.m. at the Adrar Stadium in Agadir
• October 8, 2021: Djibouti-Burkina Faso at 8 p.m. at the Grand Stadium in Marrakech
• October 9, 2021: Guinea-Sudan at 2 p.m. at the Adrar Stadium in Agadir
• October 9, 2021: Guinea Bissau-Morocco at 8 p.m. at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca
• October 11, 2021: Mozambique-Cameroon at 2 p.m. at the Ibn Battouta Stadium in Tangier
• October 11, 2021: Burkina Faso-Djibouti at 5 p.m. at the Grand Stadium in Marrakech
• October 12, 2021: Guinea-Morocco at 8 p.m. at the Moulay Abdallah Complex in Rabat
