World Cup Clash: France-Morocco Match Draws Record 5.22 Million Viewers

The match between Morocco and France, which ended in a victory for the Blues (0-4), set an audience record. Sakina Karchaoui, the French defender of Moroccan origin, and her teammates play a place in the semi-finals against Australia, one of the host countries, on Saturday.
Broadcast on M6, the round of 16 match between Morocco and France was watched by 5.22 million viewers, or 45.7% audience share (PDA), according to information published by Médiamétrie on Wednesday. Compared to previous audiences, this is the best record for the Blues since the start of the competition. In the group stage matches, 3.4 million viewers watched France-Jamaica on M6 on July 23, 4.3 million watched France-Brazil on France 2 on July 29, and 3.9 million watched Panama-France on France 2 on August 2.
This is not the first time the Blues have broken the audience record. In 2019, their participation in the World Cup organized in France brought together nearly 12 million viewers (TF1 and Canal+) for the round of 16 victory against Brazil.
