Woman, 24, Arrested as Mastermind of Foiled Murder Plot in Rabat

The Territorial Surveillance Directorate (DGST) saved a young man from a premeditated death at the hands of a criminal gang, in Rabat. The failed murder had been planned and commissioned by a young woman.
Two weeks ago, the anti-gang brigade elements, following information provided by the DGST, arrested three individuals aged between 21 and 30 years old. The accused are suspected of being involved in a violent knife attack in the Yacoub El Mansour neighborhood. It is the murder of a young man who, according to the police investigation, was to take place in a cafe.
The mastermind of the gang of criminals is a 24-year-old married woman who planned this murder to take revenge on the victim. According to the daily Al Akhbar, the suspects were arrested in the company of an accomplice who had housed them in the Agdal neighborhood, after the attempted murder of the young man.
During the interrogation, the young woman told the police that the assaulted man would have been the cause of the incarceration of her husband following a conflict. Faced with his refusal to drop the proceedings, the accused decided to take revenge by calling on her two accomplices with very heavy criminal records to assassinate the young man.
At the end of the confrontation organized by the public prosecutor’s office, the woman was placed in pre-trial detention and prosecuted for the charges of forming a criminal gang and attempted voluntary manslaughter. The victim, for his part, was saved by the doctors.
