Weapons Cache and Migrants Found in Ex-Lawmaker’s Villa in Morocco

The caretaker of a villa in Nador, owned by a former parliamentarian, was arrested on Friday following the discovery of sophisticated weapons and ultra-modern navigation equipment. 18 candidates for illegal immigration were apprehended in the act.
According to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security, a surprise of size awaited the elements of the judicial police on Friday, during the search of the residence of the former president of the commune of Beni Nsar.
18 candidates for illegal immigration were inside the villa at the time of the police raid. Acting as a travel agent, the villa’s caretaker was organizing the transfer of migrants to the Spanish coasts in exchange for the sum of 50,000 dirhams.
According to Agadir24, several modern logistical equipment, including two zodiacs, ultra-sophisticated navigation and rescue equipment, and walkie-talkies, were seized by the elements of the judicial police.
The inspection of the premises made it possible to find sophisticated weapons buried in the garden, the media points out. These are 3 firearms, a shotgun, ammunition and a holographic sight for an automatic weapon.
