Vueling Strike Disrupts Flights: Paris-Morocco Routes at Risk of Cancellation

The strike by the cabin crew of its base at Paris-Orly airport is forcing the Spanish airline Vueling to cancel more than 30% of its flights in France. Flights between Morocco and the country could be affected.
Major disruptions at Vueling’s base at Paris-Orly airport. The airline’s cabin crew has gone on strike. As a result, the Spanish low-cost airline, which operates around 120 daily flights in France, has already canceled more than 30% of its flights in France on Wednesday and Thursday. Marrakech-Paris, Agadir-Paris, Tangier-Paris flights are at risk of being canceled. The company says it is "working in coordination with all teams to minimize disruptions" and that it is informing "all customers of the alternative options available to mitigate, as much as possible, the major inconveniences." According to explanations from its spokesperson, the options are the refund of the ticket, a transfer to other flights or a change of travel date.
On April 29, the SNPNC-FO, representative of the company’s flight attendants, filed a strike notice from May 8 to 12, reports Air Journal. The CGT has also called for a strike. At the origin of these strike movements, the lack of "loyal" negotiations with management on a new company agreement. "The movement, very followed, continues for May 9, 10, 11 and 12," added the union. However, it assures that it is "totally open to discussion" to find a solution.
