Vox Party Demands Mutual Respect in Spain-Morocco Relations

The spokesman for Vox in Congress, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, stressed on Tuesday the need to restore relations with Morocco, provided that the latter respects Spain and does not threaten it.
The Vox leader, giving his impressions on the speech given on Monday by King Felipe VI who invited Morocco to "walk together" to start "a new bilateral relationship", insisted that relations between the two countries must be based on "mutual respect".

Espinosa de los Monteros did not fail to point out that Morocco is a neighboring country with which Spain has maintained "important" ties for decades, specifying that Vox calls for a resumption of relations with Morocco, as long as mutual respect and basic rules are observed.
"A country that threatens us and throws migrants at us is a country that does not respect us," said the Vox spokesman in Congress, adding that "Spain deserves greater respect from Morocco".
