Vox Leader: Morocco to Maintain Pressure on Spanish Enclaves Ceuta and Melilla

The president of Vox Ceuta, Juan Sergio Redondo, says he expects nothing positive from the high-level meeting between Spain and Morocco scheduled for February 1 and 2 in Rabat. According to him, Morocco has no intention of renouncing its policy of blockade against Ceuta and Melilla.

"Morocco does not care about the development, well-being and progress of Ceuta and Melilla and will demand a lot from Spain, which has become accustomed to submitting to the demands of the kingdom to the detriment of its foreign policy in North Africa and the Maghreb," Redondo said.

The Vox leader is convinced that this high-level meeting will only result in "a strengthening of Morocco’s position regarding Ceuta and Melilla, which it will continue to strangle economically and commercially, flooding us with their poor quality and dubious products."

According to Redondo, Morocco will continue to maintain "its geostrategic position in the Sahara, in the Strait and the Canary and Saharan waters." "The so-called commercial customs in Ceuta will be nothing more than a border racket that will only benefit Morocco," he concludes.
