Viral Video Leads to Arrest of Reckless Driver in Casablanca

This blogger was driving a vehicle at high speed, endangering passengers and especially other motorists. The video of the accused, shared on his Facebook and Instagram accounts, went viral, according to a statement from the DGSN. The same source said that the 25-year-old man posted another video in which he deliberately drove his car on the Tramway lane in Casablanca, in a way that could threaten the safety of facilities and infrastructure.

The investigations carried out by the national security services made it possible to identify the suspect, to arrest him in Casablanca and to seize the vehicle used to commit these traffic offenses and criminal acts threatening the safety of road users, the DGSN noted.

For the needs of the investigation, the driver was placed in custody in order to elucidate all the ins and outs of this case.
