Violent Saber Attack on Camping Family Near Chefchaouen, Morocco Leaves Son Maimed

On Friday, July 26, 2019, in the morning, as they had come to spend a good time on the beach of Targa, in northern Morocco, the members of a family were surprised by the violent intrusion of an armed individual. He attacked the father and his 4 children, before cutting off the hand of one of the sons of the family.

Originally, the individual had the intention of stealing the father’s bag. The victims were all taken to the Provincial Hospital of Tetouan, Saniat Rmel, while the son whose hand was amputated was urgently transported to the University Hospital Center (CHU) of Rabat.

The aggressor was apprehended by the police elements, who questioned him in order to know the motive for his criminal act. The initial results of the investigation revealed that the aggressor’s family was in conflict with that of the victims.
