Vehicle Tax Deadline Looms: Late Fees Up to 20% for Moroccan Drivers

The final deadline for the payment of vehicle stickers is set for January 31 for passenger vehicle drivers. As of February 1, late payers must pay penalties of up to 15% of the tax price.
Late drivers can pay up to 20% if they do not settle their fees by January 1, 2022, reports Le360. Vehicles with a tax power of less than 8 horsepower must pay 350 DH for the vehicle tax against 650 DH for vehicles from 8 to 10 horsepower.
As for the owners of vehicles from 11 to 14 horsepower, the vehicle tax is set at 3000 DH against 8,000 dirhams for vehicles whose tax power is equal to or greater than 15 horsepower.
The fines provided for drivers of diesel-powered vehicles whose tax power is less than 8 horsepower amount to 700 DH against 1500 DH for those from 8 to 10 horsepower and 6000 DH. As for vehicles whose tax power is greater than 15 horsepower, they will have to pay the sum of 20,000 DH.
The payment of this tax can be made in all cash transfer agencies and bank branches. In addition, motorists wishing to sell their vehicles are invited to settle all unpaid vehicle stickers.
