Valencia Court Probes Racist Attack on Moroccan Man at Nightclub Entrance

The investigating court in Valencia has opened an investigation into the racist assault of a young man of Moroccan origin at the entrance of a nightclub in the city. Six people are suspected.
As part of this investigation, the court had received the testimony of four employees of the nightclub where the alleged attack took place. Recently, it summoned two other security guards whose names were mentioned by their colleagues during their depositions, reports Europa Press.
The assault took place on March 6, when the security guards prevented the Moroccan from entering the nightclub, demanding an online ticket and claiming that the nightclub was full. But he eventually accessed the nightclub with a group of Dutch people he had befriended on the spot, after obtaining the bracelet proving he had paid his entrance ticket.
The young man had barely ordered a drink when a security guard approached him to ask him to leave the bar. Once expelled, six or seven security guards began to assault him, shouting "Damn Moor, I’ll kill you." The young man filed a complaint with the police the next day after the assault. He was taken to the hospital where he received emergency care due to his numerous injuries to different parts of the body and a nasal fracture.
At a hearing held on May 11, the first four agents identified by the Moroccan denied the facts, stating that they were unaware of any conflict inside or outside the establishment. Two other agents recognized two of the four agents when viewing the nightclub’s surveillance footage to the police. They will appear on June 27.
