Valencia’s Amallah Seeks Redemption After Red Card Setback

Expelled before the end of the first half against Real Sociedad after receiving two yellow cards, Selim Amallah wants to make up for it against Mallorca and regain the trust of coach Rubén Baraja.
Selim Amallah did not make a good impression in his first game as a starter in Valencia. The Moroccan midfielder received two yellow cards against Real Sociedad and was sent off before the end of the first half. Suspended for one game, he did not play against Betis. The player hopes to be a starter against Mallorca to make coach Baraja forget his bitter debut against Real Sociedad, reports AS.
Amallah is in Baraja’s plans, who is aware that he can bring a lot to the team. The coach could therefore start him against Mallorca, despite his expulsion against Real that he has not yet digested. "It’s a mistake not to make, because we find ourselves with ten and everything becomes more complicated. It will serve as a lesson for him," Pipo said after Amallah’s expulsion.
For his part, Amallah hopes to play and deliver a performance against Mallorca before joining the Atlas Lions. The Moroccan international has been called up for the friendly match against Ivory Coast (October 14) and Liberia (October 17) counting towards the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Arrived at Real Valladolid last year from Standard Liège, Selim Amallah signed with this club until 2027. This summer, he was loaned to Valencia, with a purchase option between six and seven million euros. Last season, the Moroccan played seven games and scored two goals with Valladolid, including one against Mallorca (3-3).
