Ukraine Reports No Moroccan Volunteers Among 20,000 Foreign Fighters

To date, no Moroccan has joined the resistance alongside Ukraine to fight Russia. More than 20,000 foreign volunteers are engaged in this cause.
Speaking about the Russian invasion in her country and the various international support, the Ukrainian ambassador to Morocco, Oksana Vasylieva, discussed Morocco’s position on this conflict and the situation of Moroccan students in Ukraine, reports Apanews.
For the diplomat, "Morocco’s position is clear." "We do not comment on it," she said, referring to the kingdom’s decision not to vote at the UN General Assembly. And she added that among the 20,000 volunteers from 52 countries fighting alongside the Ukrainian army, no Moroccan is included.
Questioned about the humanitarian situation in the country, the ambassador deplored what she described as an "alarming situation". "You can imagine that when they bomb every day, every night, the buildings and neighborhoods, the villages and countryside, the Ukrainians live in fear and anxiety. There are nearly 3 million Ukrainian refugees currently in the neighboring countries that are receiving them with a lot of conviviality," she described.
According to UN data, 1,500 civilians have been killed, including 110 children. "But Russian military losses are ten times higher than Ukrainian ones. Russia has lost 14,800 soldiers," she said.
