Ukraine May Rejoin Morocco-Spain-Portugal Bid for 2030 World Cup

Ukraine would again consider joining the Morocco-Spain-Portugal trio in their bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, according to information reported by the sports newspaper L’Équipe.
Ukraine had initially withdrawn its own candidacy, but now seems ready to go back on this decision. However, this adhesion would only be effective if the ongoing war with Russia came to an end.
The announcement has caused some stir among Moroccans on social media, with several voices rising to criticize this integration. The addition of Ukraine to this transcontinental group remains uncertain for the time being.
If this joint candidacy were to be selected, it would mark a historic first, as the World Cup has never taken place on two distinct continents. As FIFA is about to reveal the host countries for the 2030 tournament, this group of four countries is preparing to compete with another South American quartet, composed of Chile, Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay.
