The number of athletes converting to Islam continues to grow. The latest conversion is that of an English UFC fighter.
It’s no longer a rumor. Michael Jerome Reece-Page, known as Michael "Venom" Page, has converted to Islam. Information confirmed by Allahu Akbar. The conversion of the 37-year-old athlete has not failed to elicit positive comments from fans and Muslims. "Excellent news, may ALLAH make everything easy for him," comments a fan. Another mentions the prevalence of Muslim fighters in the division: "Damn, the welterweights are full of Muslims." Another believes his wrestling could be improved. "Wrestling is loading," he writes.
Born on April 7, 1987 at St Mary’s Hospital in London to a father from Trinidad and a mother from Jamaica, both practitioners of Lau Gar kung fu, Michael "Venom" Page started kickboxing at a very young age.
