The Moroccan fighter Abu Azaitar, after four positive tests for tamoxifen, has been suspended for a period of 7 months by the American anti-doping agency USADA.
The Moroccan, a specialist in mixed martial arts (MMA), will be able to return to the UFC cage on March 25. Abu Azaitar was able to prove that the substance had been prescribed to him by a doctor, and thus received a reduced suspension.
Tamoxifen is an estrogen receptor modulator. It is mainly used in the treatment of breast cancer and can also be prescribed to men in special cases.
A few days ago, Ottman Azaitar was also excluded from the UFC for violating the health protocol in place.
