UAE Updates Travel Green List, Excludes Morocco, Spain and Portugal

Morocco, Spain and Portugal are not on the United Arab Emirates’ green list that came into effect on July 13. Travelers from these destinations must quarantine upon arrival.
According to the new green list, travelers arriving from 35 destinations including Albania, Armenia, Belgium, Canada, France, Hungary, Jordan, the Netherlands, Ireland, Romania, the Seychelles, Turkmenistan and the Vatican City will be exempt from mandatory quarantine measures after landing in the emirate. However, they will have to undergo PCR tests upon arrival at Abu Dhabi airport. Vaccinated travelers must then undergo a follow-up PCR test on day 6, while those who are not fully vaccinated must undergo control PCR tests on the 6th and 12th day.
The United Arab Emirates has excluded Bhutan, Brunei, Finland, Greenland, Japan, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Uzbekistan. Vaccinated travelers arriving from these destinations will have to quarantine for seven days, with a control PCR test on the 6th day. Those who are not yet vaccinated must quarantine for 12 days and undergo a control PCR test on the 11th day.
The new green list replaces the one from June 24. The Ministry of Tourism specifies that this list applies only to the countries from which passengers have arrived in the United Arab Emirates, not to their citizenship. Inclusion on the list is subject to strict health and safety criteria to ensure the well-being of the United Arab Emirates community, it added.
