Turkish Giants Snub Former Chelsea Star: Ziyech’s Career Crossroads Deepens

The Turkish club Beşiktaş has ruled out the possibility of recruiting Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech. This decision was made even though the 32-year-old player, who is free from any contract, had been offered to the Istanbul club through his agents.
Citing the newspaper Tekvim, media sources indicate that the Beşiktaş management did not wish to follow up on this proposal, despite the player’s rich European career. No official explanation has been given to justify this lack of enthusiasm to start negotiations. As a result, Ziyech’s situation remains in limbo, conditional on ongoing discussions with other clubs.
This skepticism from part of the Turkish market can be explained by the player’s recent experiences. His stint at Galatasaray in 2023 ended prematurely after six months, with a record of 8 goals in 34 matches. Subsequently, his short stay in Qatar with Al-Duhail was not more fruitful, as the player scored only one goal in 13 appearances before his contract expired.
