Tunisia to Require Passports for French Tourists Starting 2025

While Morocco maintains more flexible access to its territory, Tunisia is imposing a new measure on French travelers.
As of January 1, 2025, French and other nationalities arriving in Tunisia must have a passport. Another change: this passport must be valid for at least three months after the date of entry into the country. A traveler whose passport expires one month later will be subject to refusal of entry into Tunisian territory. For a trip of less than three months, no visa is required.
The tourist who travels with a travel agency is invited to contact it to ensure that all his documents are in order in case of travel in 2025. These new measures could benefit Morocco. Tourists could prefer the kingdom to Tunisia.
Until now, an identity document was sufficient to enter Tunisian territory for all tourists traveling in a group, recalls Ouest-France, adding that "the organizer had to present a travel booklet".
