TUI Airways Launches Direct Flights from Newcastle to Agadir, Morocco
TUI Airways announced this week a new flight between Newcastle International Airport and Agadir. This connection aims to offer travelers from northeast England "convenient access" to Morocco’s "magnificent Atlantic coast".
This route will operate two weekly flights during the summer season. According to TUI, these flights will allow holidaymakers to enjoy "Agadir’s sunshine, beautiful beaches, and rich cultural heritage without having to depart from other British airports".
Chris Logan, Commercial Director at TUI, stated: "We are delighted to add Agadir to our growing portfolio of destinations available from Newcastle Airport". Morocco is a "prime destination that combines exotic culture, magnificent beaches, and year-round sunshine", adding that this connection illustrates TUI’s commitment to offering its customers "more choices for their dream holidays".
Leon McQuaid, Director of Aviation Development at Newcastle Airport, expressed his satisfaction with this new offering, stating: "This exciting new route is another addition to TUI’s fantastic portfolio of destinations from Newcastle Airport, offering even more choice to the traveling public in the Northeast".
Agadir is a popular destination for international and local tourists. Agadir-Al Massira Airport has recorded a 36% increase in passenger numbers over the first eleven months of 2024, with more than 2.8 million travelers.
