Transavia Expands Morocco Routes with New Montpellier-Agadir Flight

Transavia will launch new routes to Morocco, including one from Montpellier-Méditerranée airport next winter, as part of the renewal of its partnership contract with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT).
Transavia will connect Montpellier to Agadir starting October 21 (the last week of the summer aviation season), "and this, throughout the winter," reports Actu.fr. The airline will operate one weekly flight (on Sundays), starting at €55 one-way. Tickets have been on sale since May 20.
"We are very pleased to see that Transavia continues its development in Montpellier. In terms of the number of destinations and passengers carried, Transavia has become the leading airline at our airport," says Emmanuel Brehmer, Chairman of the Management Board of Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport. He adds: "This opening is a wonderful opportunity for the residents of Montpellier and the entire region to directly reach one of the most beautiful Moroccan destinations."
Located 500 km south of Casablanca and just over 200 km west of Marrakech, Agadir is the administrative capital of the Souss-Massa region. The population is about half a million inhabitants. This city with 300 days of sunshine per year is known for its moderate climate and its beach. It is, in fact, the main seaside resort in Morocco. "Open to the ocean and the world, Agadir is an active city where it’s good to relax," assures the French media.
