Tragic Drowning of Teen Brothers Shocks Béni-Mellal Region Amid Heatwave

Two brothers drowned, on Tuesday, in a wadi in the Béni-Mellal region. An investigation has been opened by the Gendarmerie services.
This tragedy shook the entire Béni-Mellal region on Tuesday evening. Having gone to graze the family herd, these two teenagers perished in the waters of the Wadi in the region, reports Barlamane.
According to witnesses to the tragic scene, the two victims, overwhelmed by the heat wave that has been hitting the region for a few days, threw themselves into the watercourse. Unfortunately, they perished.
Alerted, the gendarmerie elements launched an operation to recover the bodies. One of the lifeless bodies was recovered while the operations continue to find the second remains.
The investigation opened under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office will determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
