Tragic Construction Accident in Paris Suburb Claims Lives of Two Undocumented Workers

The fall of a platform from the 18th floor of a building in Epinay-sur-Seine resulted in the immediate death of two workers, a Moroccan and an Algerian. The victims were undocumented workers, according to the preliminary investigation.
The two workers were working on the thermal renovation of the building, and no information is circulating about the origin of the fall or the identity of the employer. The Labor Inspectorate has also requested the cessation of work on the construction site.
According to "Le Parisien", the consulates of Morocco and Algeria have been contacted to notify the families of the victims. And an initial contact has been established with a family in Germany.
Pending further investigation with the employer, prosecuted for involuntary manslaughter, "the Brigade for the Repression and Delinquency of the Paris Judicial Police has been seized by the Bobigny Prosecutor’s Office," concludes the Journal.
