A tragic childbirth at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca. Feeling her childbirth was near, a woman offered her sister, already the mother of a first child and living in Tangier, to stay with her in Casablanca. During her stay, the pregnant woman felt pains resembling contractions. She will be admitted to the Hay Mohammadi hospital. Received in consultation, the young woman received the exit permit and returned to her sister’s house. The medical staff told her that the day of her childbirth had not yet arrived. Except that once at her sister’s, the pains persisted. The contractions, for their part, accelerated. Her sister then took her to the Ibn Rochd University Hospital. She will be admitted to the maternity ward. This woman who was a month away from the end of her pregnancy died giving birth to her second child.
An investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of this death. The Attorney General of the King near the Court of Appeal of Casablanca ordered the autopsy of the young woman’s body. While she was supposed to give birth vaginally like during her first childbirth, she had finally given birth by cesarean section to the great surprise of her sister and other family members, reports the daily Assabah. Incomprehension! They suspect a medical error, as the pregnant woman did not suffer from any illness. Only the ongoing investigation can confirm or refute these suspicions. Fortunately, the baby survived, but it seems to be suffering from some complications.
