Tourists Stranded in Tangier as Bus Driver Leaves for Ramadan Meal
A Spanish tiktoker and her two friends, visiting Morocco, were abandoned by the bus driver who was transporting them during an outing. The driver left them in the vehicle for hours, in a place in Tangier, to go break the Ramadan fast.
In two videos posted on her TikTok account, @hippie.domaris recounts how she and her two friends traveling through Morocco on a bus found themselves in the middle of nowhere after the driver abandoned the vehicle for hours, leaving them alone in an unknown place in Tangier. "I think he completely forgot about us," commented the tiktoker, showing the empty bus and specifying that the time for breaking the Ramadan fast was approaching.
"I think it’s his house," the influencer continued, pointing to a mosque, before adding: "He went to eat and left us here. I don’t understand what’s going on." In a second video, recorded after an hour of waiting, @hippie.domaris said they had been brought harira, a traditional Moroccan soup made with chicken, tomatoes and legumes, and chebakia, traditional pastries of the kingdom. "How beautiful, the truth is that they are very kind. They gave it to us for free," she confided.
The two videos of @hippie.domaris already have more than 430,000 views each, more than 20,000 "likes" and dozens of comments. "If I eat, you eat. That’s not the case in all countries," wrote one Internet user. "In Spain, we don’t even smell the food," commented another.
