Tourism in Morocco: a record balance sheet and ambitious objectives

The signs are green for Moroccan tourism. The kingdom recorded a record number of tourist arrivals in the first nine months of the year, the Ministry of Tourism rejoiced, assuring that the momentum will be maintained in 2025 to reach the target of 26 million tourists by 2026.

In its draft budget document for the 2025 fiscal year, the Ministry of Tourism indicated that 570 additional beneficiaries of the "Cap Hospitality" program will be entitled to technical and financial support, as part of the agreement signed with the Mohammed VI Fund for Investment. Similarly, 1,450 additional beneficiaries of the "Kafaat" (Competence) program will receive their diploma in hotel, catering and other trades, as part of the agreement signed between the ministry and the National Confederation of Tourism.

In her presentation of the document to the House of Representatives, Minister Fatima Zahra Ammor added that 2,500 additional beneficiaries will be trained as part of the middle management training program, and 1,000 additional beneficiaries will receive continuing education in vocational training institutions, as part of the "Cap Excellence" program and the agreements signed between the ministry and the Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion.

Regarding the promotion and marketing of tourist destinations, the ministry plans to launch the new version of the Moroccan tourism portal, expand the "Morocco, Land of Lights" promotional campaign and double the number of direct flights from high-potential source markets. In terms of investment, the ministry will continue to implement the regional roadmap with the creation of Regional Development Companies in the regions of Guelmim-Oued Noun, Fès-Meknès, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra
