Tottenham Abandons Pursuit of Moroccan Midfielder Sofyan Amrabat

Sofyan Amrabat will have to be patient when it comes to his transfer to Tottenham. The Atlas Lion will therefore continue to play in the Italian championship while waiting for a new opportunity to play.
Eliminated from the CAN Cameroon in the quarter-finals, Sofyan Amrabat learns that his project to leave Fiorentina for Tottenham has not materialized. According to the Italian press, the club’s management has decided to abandon the track of the Moroccan player. Yet Calciomercato had announced a loan with a purchase option estimated at 9 million euros.
But according to the latest news, the Premier League giant preferred to sign Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus Turin. The Moroccan player would not have had a season in the image of that of 2019 when his performances pushed Inter Milan and Tottenham to want to recruit him. Since his transfer in 2020 to Fiorentina, he has only participated in 11 of the 22 Serie A matches of his club.
