Top 5 Travel Tips for Visiting Morocco: What Tourists Need to Know

A travel specialist has provided on his social networks advice to travelers planning to visit Morocco, recommending among other things to avoid taking photos without permission or drinking tap water.
In a video shared on his page, Spanish tiktoker Daniel Vergel (@danielvergel), a travel specialist, gives a series of tips to avoid having problems and fully enjoy your vacation in Morocco. The first advice is to avoid taking photos. "It’s best to ask permission before taking photos of people or their belongings," he warns, or you could get into trouble. If you do, you may have to pay fines, he adds.
Another mistake that travelers to Morocco should avoid is "trying to enter mosques if you are not Muslim, which is prohibited". The specialist also recommends always bargaining before buying a product in Morocco, as prices are generally inflated. Daniel Vergel also advises caution to avoid being the victim of scams from individuals who spontaneously offer themselves as tourist guides in the streets.
The Spanish tiktoker also recommends refraining from drinking tap water in Morocco "because it is not drinkable", advising to consume ice or drinks instead to preserve one’s health. Finally, he advises not to change all your money at the airport. "Don’t change all your money at the airport, just change what you need to get to the city center" because, he says, "the exchange rate in the medinas is generally more advantageous".
