Moroccan-Egyptian top model [Imaan Hammam] has contributed to the celebration of Valentine’s Day by supporting an original initiative by two photographers. The idea is to allow people to offer their loved ones virtual cards instead of physical cards and make a donation to a charity.

Imaan Hammam has lent her lips to the cause by creating a digital "kiss" that people can offer to their loved ones to mark the Valentine’s Day celebration, reports The New Arab. Model Emily Ratajkowski also participated in this campaign launched by fashion photographers Inez and Vinoodh. The goal is to promote the exchange of digital cards instead of physical gifts and solidarity. The photographer couple had this idea after discovering that $16 billion worth of Christmas gifts are stockpiled in a year in the United States.

On her Instagram page, Imaan explained the positive impact this initiative could have. "When you send a kiss from me, your donation supports the Honnold Foundation - which works to promote solar energy for a more equitable world," Imaan wrote. Each person who sends Imaan’s kiss to their loved one also makes a donation, it is specified in the Double Dutch video.

This is not the first time the Moroccan-Egyptian model has participated in a solidarity initiative. Imaan recently joined the "Girls Get Loud" campaign launched on social media to empower young women. In a statement to Harper’s Bazaar fashion magazine, she confided: "My mother, she’s Moroccan, and she left for the Netherlands at the age of 19. She was married, and just because she’s an immigrant and a woman, I have so much respect for her and for her journey."
