More than 5 months after the illegal arrival in the Spanish enclaves, some 3683 Moroccan migrants settled in Ceuta have made a voluntary return to the kingdom, according to local authorities.
These voluntary returns were made through the land border, which opens exceptionally in collaboration with the Moroccan authorities, reports the EFE agency, specifying that to this number, 327 others must be added, who have chosen to return to Morocco for various reasons.
Meanwhile, the local data indicate that 2,500 illegal migrants have filed asylum applications. A large part of these asylum seekers, or nearly 2,000 people, have been able to leave Ceuta for the peninsula.
