TF1+ Expands Across Africa: French Streaming Giant Eyes Morocco in Global Push

TF1+, the free streaming platform of the TF1 group, launched last January, will soon be deployed in Morocco.

TF1+ is pursuing its international expansion. TF1 has deployed its streaming service in 21 French-speaking African countries. This service has been "available since June 30 in 21 new countries," including Algeria, Tunisia, Benin, Burkina Faso and Cameroon, TF1 announced in a press release. It is also available in Comoros, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea, Mauritius, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Chad and Togo. The platform will soon be deployed in Morocco. The leading private audiovisual group in France aims to reach "all French-speaking territories" in the long term.

"Nearly 20,000 hours of programming," including the series HPI or the game Koh-Lanta, are now freely accessible "at any time, unlimited." "The premium offer of TF1+ (by subscription), without advertising breaks, is also available in all the territories concerned," the press release specifies. "This international expansion illustrates the ambition of the TF1 group to position TF1+ as a reference destination for information and entertainment in all French-speaking territories," the same source emphasizes. The group’s ambition is to "build a cultural community around the French language."
