Terminally Ill Moroccan Immigrant Faces Eviction in Seville Despite Health Concerns

The Court of First Instance in Seville ordered the eviction of a Moroccan with cancer on Friday, after rejecting his lawyer’s request to suspend the eviction procedure for humanitarian reasons.
The Moroccan M.T. is a patient with "metastatic cancer and his eviction risks deteriorating his personal, health, social and family situation, as he is a husband and father," explains his lawyer, Francisco Tejado.
With his 800 euros in monthly income, it is impossible for the Moroccan to find another home whose rent could fit his budget, he adds. The judge rejected the lawyer’s request, who had proposed that a solution be found in relation to the social services, given the vulnerability of the family.
