Tech Entrepreneur Diversifies, Opens Burger Bar in Childhood Neighborhood

While he was only a pure product of telecommunications, Yacine Benarbia is surprising his entourage by opening the "Burger’s bar" in his childhood neighborhood, the Bois de l’Etang. He has taken over the business of "La Galette", a crêperie that had closed last May.

Opened a month ago, the Burger’s bar offers a relaxing space for customers. You can find crepes there, but also burgers, tacos or even cream-based escalopes. "Everything is fresh and homemade," assures the owner, who wanted to make it a place where you can "eat healthy," he tells actu.fr.

Yacine started out like most young people like him. He went through a series of odd jobs until he found his footing in telecommunications. "I got hooked right away," he recalls. His efforts eventually paid off in 2006 when he went into business for himself and created IMC (Installation, Montage et Câblage) Telecom. A service provider for France Telecom, Orange and Free, the small company set up ADSL box lines at the time.

In 2008, his small business became more substantial and expanded its services to fiber optics. But the real success story had to wait until 2010. Indeed, he started working in the electricity networks with ERDF (Électricité Réseau Distribution France), now Enedis. His collaboration was so appreciated that the group entrusted him with part of the installation of the Linky meters.

The entrepreneur now has about fifteen agencies across France (Bordeaux, Fréjus, Limoges, Nice, Nîmes, the Paris region, as well as the West Indies and Reunion) and 200 employees in France and Morocco.
