Teacher Brutally Stabbed by Ex-Husband at El Jadida School, Receives 290 Stitches

A teacher at the primary school in the town of Echemaïa, in the province of El Jadida, was savagely attacked on Saturday by her ex-husband. Witnesses were shocked by the violence of the attack.
The victim, Fatima Zahra, 32 years old, was stabbed several times by her ex-husband, Abdellah, 41 years old. Injured in the face, neck and thighs, she was urgently transported to the Lalla Hassna provincial hospital in Settat, where she underwent surgery. In total, she received 290 stitches.
The ex-husband went to the victim’s workplace, the primary school, and took advantage of a moment of inattention to attack her with a knife. The aggressor was arrested by the Royal Gendarmerie and taken into custody. He should be brought before the King’s Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in El Jadida.
The ex-husband is said to have acted in a premeditated manner. The couple had divorced a few months ago, a decision the aggressor would have had trouble accepting, harassing and threatening the victim for weeks.
