Tangier Real Estate Developer Arrested in Multi-Million Dollar Fraud Case

A real estate developer in Tangier was arrested and taken into custody on Wednesday as part of a fraud case.
The case dates back two years, when a member of parliament filed a complaint with the king’s prosecutor against a real estate company owned by the developer, accusing him of defrauding him. In his complaint, the MP explains that he had paid the said company the full purchase price of four apartments in a residence in Mediouna, near the Achakar road, but did not receive the keys to take possession of the properties.
After several years of fruitless follow-up with the company, which each time found an excuse not to honor its commitment, the real estate developer finally filed a complaint for fraud. This is how the real estate developer was arrested and taken into custody. The police opened an investigation to verify the accusations against him. He will soon be brought before the investigating judge who will decide his fate.
