Tangier: the Chinese giant Shinzoom injects 5 billion DH into a battery factory

The Chinese group Shinzoom, specialized in the production of anodes for lithium-ion batteries, is preparing to invest $500 million (5 billion DH) in the Tanger Tech free zone. A large-scale project that will cover 30 hectares.
Shinzoom’s investment is one of the largest ever made in the lithium-ion battery sector in Morocco. It will be used to build a state-of-the-art factory that will produce high-quality anodes for lithium-ion batteries.
This major investment is expected to generate around 1,500 jobs in the long run, according to a press release from the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma Regional Council.
