Tangier Casino Faces Lawsuit Over Mass Firing of International Staff

About forty employees of different nationalities have decided to take the Casino Management Group in Tangier to court for unfair dismissal. The public prosecutor’s office was notified last Wednesday.
In the request addressed through the lawyer, a Romanian national claimed to have been the victim of injustice on the part of the Movenpick Casino, having been dismissed on July 20 without any notice.
According to Tanja7, the employer would not have responded to the summons of the labor inspector, sent on August 4, which planned to bring the two parties together on the 6th of the same month in order to find an arrangement.
The same source reports that a warning was sent to the casino through a bailiff, stating that employers are required to notify the competent authorities before any hiring or dismissal of a foreign national.
