Sydney Knife Attack: Suspect Arrested After Stabbing Woman, Shouting "Allahu Akbar"

Australian authorities arrested the suspect who attacked a woman with a knife in the center of the city of Sydney on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.
Images broadcast by Australian media show the man jumping on the roof of a car while shouting "Allahu Akbar" ("God is the greatest"). While brandishing a knife, he was also shouting: "Shoot me!"
According to the police spokesperson, the attacker drew a knife and stabbed a woman in the public. After the act, he pursued several other people, armed with a large kitchen knife, before being arrested in his race by some citizens.
The Australian police praised the bravery of the citizens who managed to catch the attacker and subdue him. "They were very brave," the spokesperson said.
As for the victim, she is in "stable" condition, reassure the emergency services of the hospital where she was taken.
