Switzerland Donates 3.3 Million Dirhams to Support Morocco’s COVID-19 Recovery Efforts

The Swiss Embassy in Morocco has offered, as a sign of support for the efforts made by the kingdom in the fight against coronavirus, the sum of 3.3 dirhams. This sum is intended to mitigate the social and economic impact of the crisis.
Switzerland, through this donation, honors the commitment made last June with various partners. It is a matter of helping the people most affected by the pandemic, especially the vulnerable ones. This funding will thus allow Oxfam and 13 associations in Morocco to help certain categories of people to start an income-generating activity.
These are women who have lost their jobs in factories, migrant women with young children, unaccompanied minors, people with disabilities, vulnerable households, self-employed and vulnerable workers. Approximately 4,661 people, including 605 families, are the beneficiaries of this project reserved for five regions of Morocco.
